Who Cares?

I spent some time with my mother-in-law in ICU today at the local hospital. Normally, I would have been at church, but I needed to get an update from her doctor and see Sherran so she knows she’s loved and not forgotten. Her youngest son, my husband, has been sick the last 3 days and unable to go see her. Her oldest son lives a few hours away and came to see her during the week. I thanked the doctor for their excellent care, and he mentioned how blessed Sherran is to have so many people who love and care for her, because many patients don’t have that. The Prince of Peace

In scriptures we are told of an encounter that Jesus had with a man who was possessed. The man lived among tombs and would cry out and cut himself with stones.  He was so powerful that chains and shackles could not restrain him. When this man met Jesus, he was freed from the demonic possession and restored to his right mind. After years of living in torment, the man was set free and now could live a life in peace. I have been told by some in the past that miracles like this don't happen today. On the Frontlines

I am a big fan of hero movies. Whether it is movies about real heroes or super heroes I just love the idea behind individuals that risk and sometimes sacrifice their lives for a greater cause than themselves. In the military we often find those valiant warriors are on the front lines of the battle. About three days ago I returned from a trip to GooJoo where we trained 270 pastors. During that trip I was surrounded by many heroes. Doctors and nurses who served over 900 people at a clinic in just four days; Trainers who encouraged missionaries that will go out to unreached areas.
