I had an encounter with a young man once who loved Rock and Roll. It was when I was working as a stocker at a grocery store. At the time I generally would sing praise or worship songs as I worked. It seemed like I could see God’s hand working even in the most mundane things. Has someone ever told you that pulling off a bandage quickly is better than pulling it off slowly? I have heard this since I was a child, and even today I prefer to just deal with the pain of quickly ripping the band aid off versus having to slowly pull away at the edges. Many will agree that dealing with extreme pain for the moment seems more appetizing than dealing with a slight less pain over time.
